Karamah Kouture offers the client a unique fashion experience in that each garment is tailor made in colours that enhance the client’s individual beauty. We specialists in gowns that are inspired by Islamic art and lifestyle for special occasions, engagements and wedding
CONSULTATION including taking measurements , discussing and looking at potential silhouettes/shapes for fitted/unfitted garments that compliments clients figure, fabric suggestions; textures and colours to compliment clients skin tone and desired mood for the special occasion....£75 per hour
PERSONAL SHOPPING spending time with client visiting fabric and haberdashery shops £50per hour including door to door transport and travel cost; petrol parking and congestion charges within 3 mile radius
GARMENT CONSTRUCTION
Karamah Kouture is known for designing and making couture (tailored hand finished garments) that are highly embellished with Islamic motifs. Hand painting, embroidery, beading etc increases the cost of the garments as each garment is custom made and hand finished
ALL FABRIC AND HABERDASHERY (ZIPS BUTTONS FABRIC PAINTS, BEADS ETC) are paid for by the client
EXAMPLES OF COSTS
A dress for Mariam.....is a fitted silk and satin purple and blue waistcoat where the Kouture feature is the beaded collar and hand made satin flowers on the back collar detail
The collar took a week to embroider and bead, the flowers and beading on the back took one day
WAISTCOAT with embellishment.....£500 excluding materials
WAISTCOAT without embellishment £75
A dress for Khadijah...is a black full length fitted double breasted fake leather coat with 24 box pleats in each sleeve- the shoulder and the cuff; it has a box pleat at the back falling from the waist to the floor and is lined with black satin
The collar is hand painted with Mongolian carnations then beaded; the collar is trimmed with looped trimming
The back is hand painted and beaded with appliquéd letters "SERIOUS"
Antique lace inserts between the shoulder and sleeve
COAT with embellishment £750 excluding materials
COAT without embellishment £250
A dress for Ayesha pink, gold and blue satin fitted coat.....has silk chiffon inserted pleats into the seam of each sleeve that are bead ed with small glass beads, there is satin appliqué on the back from a design inspired by Turkish ceramics, the appliqué is then beaded and sequined over with some embroidery, the sleeves and the back have gold brocade inserts and the garment is lined with baby blue satin.
The jacket is worn over a cream lace sleeveless top with a high collar with a cream strapless ball gown worn over the lace top
the ball gown has a fitted boned bodice, back zipper and five pleats on the hips that drape to one side, the skirt is full and the garment is lined,
